Drowning Victims Will Grab on to Anything

Some folks still cling to flags like they’re life vests, yelling about language, national purity, and border security, while the rest of the world quietly reminds us it doesn’t give a damn. Hurricanes don’t bother to check passports, and DNA doesn’t have a native tongue. We’re not tribes on opposite sides of a line, but members of the same goddamned species squatting on a spinning, mud-covered rock, farting into the same atmosphere while riding it out in the same century of climate roulette and algorithmic landlords. Whether you fucking like it or not, we all bleed, burn and drown the same. The idea of “us” and “them” died with the invention of the jet engine. It’s time we start acting like we know this…
